Pharmacy Café owners opening new farmhouse restaurant in Wendell
The co-owners of downtown Raleigh's Pharmacy Café announced this week a new restaurant slated to open in Wendell later this year.

Farmhouse Café is slated to open in September inside The Farmhouse, the community center at Wendell Falls. In a news release, creators Patrick Cowden and Daniel Whittaker emphasized the restaurant's commitment to sustainability, fresh menu and beautiful interior.
Farmhouse Café will serve breakfast and lunch along with a "social menu" of shareable small plates in the evenings. The menu will feature Pharmacy favorites, like its salad bowls, along with new menu items sourced from local farms.
Beverages will also be a focus, with coffee, wine and beer offered along with kombucha and prosecco on tap.
"Our team is excited to show the residents and visitors at Wendell Falls what is possible in such a beautiful space at the Farmhouse," Whitaker said.
Farmhouse Café will also be known for its community events, such as planned foodie dinners, crawfish boils and wine tastings.
"I have a vested interest in the quality of the experience at the new café,” said Cowden, who lives in Wendell Falls. “My ultimate goal is to foster a sense of family at the Farmhouse Café -- a place known for its customer service and local flavor that reflects the community itself.”
