"Habitat chapters are stepping up across the state to accomplish the foundation's goal."

Robeson County's first Habitat project was funded by the North Carolina State Employee Credit Union Foundation, which pledged $10 million to build a home in each of the 100 North Carolina counties. "Because Robeson does not have a Habitat chapter, we volunteered," said Chris Carpenter, director of Habitat for Humanity of Scotland County. "Habitat chapters are stepping up across the state to accomplish the foundation's goal."
