Graffiti scars Garner high school, shops

School buses, a school building and nearby businesses were vandalized over the weekend in Garner.

Garner police told WRAL News that Sunday church services are held in the Garner Magnet High School auditorium. Church-goers noticed the graffiti.

Sky 5 flew over the school parking lot at 2101 Spring Drive on Monday morning, where black graffiti – some letters and numbers – was visible on buses.

Student Alana Nicole Rajhubir said, "It was all over the walls, all over the windows and a door, too."

Additional graffiti was reported nearby at Garner Towne Square at an Office Max and a PetSmart.

A shopper there on Monday said, "I wish that people actually valued what we have," said Brittany Avery.

Law enforcement officers were gathering surveillance video from around the scene of the crimes to see if any of the vandals was caught on camera.
