Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle near Raeford Road in Fayetteville

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle in Fayetteville on Saturday night.

The pedestrian was struck near Raeford Road and Strickland Bridge Road just after 9 p.m.

Police say the vehicle remained on the scene, and the driver is cooperating with investigators.

The name of the pedestrian has not yet been released.
