Former West Meck player Delmar Glaze picked by the Raiders in the third round
The offensive lineman was an all-conference player in the Big Ten.
A former standout from West Mecklenburg High School is headed to the NFL. The Las Vegas Raiders selected Delmar Glaze, an offensive lineman, in the third round with the No. 77 overall pick. Glaze attended the University of Maryland.
Glaze is a class of 2020 graduate of West Meck.
The lineman is a 6-foot-4, 315-pound prospect with 34 7/8-inch arms and 10 1/4-inch hands. He ran a 5.21 in the 40-yard dash. He was an all-conference selection in the Big Ten.
In high school, Glaze was a member of the So Meck 7 all-conference team in 2019. Glaze was ranked as the No. 63 prospect in North Carolina's 2020 class by 247Sports.
