AT&T says one of their vendors suffered a data breach, exposing some details of about 9 million wireless accounts.

5 On Your Side checked on this after a viewer emailed us, concerned about his personal information.

AT&T says none of their systems have been compromised, but the breach involving a marketing vendor exposed Customer Proprietary Network Information of wireless accounts. That includes details like how many phone lines are on a plan and how much a particular account hold pays per month.

AT&T says the information that was accessed did not contain credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, account passwords or other sensitive personal information.

They say the data was several years old, mostly related to device upgrade eligibility.

AT&T tells 5 On Your Side the are notifying affected customers.
