Florida man arrested for bank fraud in Moore County

Jesse Jose Reyes is facing several charges after the Moore County Sheriff's Office said he fraudulently took thousands of dollars out of someone's bank account.

Moore County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Florida man accused of fraudulently taking thousands of dollars out of someone’s bank account.

On Thursday, the Moore County Sheriff's Office received a report of bank fraud in the Carthage area. The sheriff’s office received the report after thousands of dollars were fraudulently obtained from the reporting victim’s bank account.

Detectives identified Jesse Jose Reyes as the suspect in the case and arrested him once they obtained probable cause.

Reyes, 25, of Miami Gardens, Florida, is charged with obtaining property by false pretense, identity theft, financial card theft, financial card fraud, accessing computers, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle dwelling or place to keep a controlled substance, simple possession of schedule VI-controlled substance, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Authorities are holding Reyes at the Moore County Detention Center on a $112,500 secured bond.

Reyes is due in court on Jan. 17.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office said Reyes was wanted out of Florida for fraud and unlawful use of credit or debit cards.
