I read a story about Starbucks firing 2,000 workers. The workers got fired for being targeted in Israel-Hamas war boycott. Starbucks sued the Workers United, which reorganized workers. I think this story is surprising to me because I couldn't believe it was Starbucks firing so many people.

A teen on a skateboard was killed by semi-truck in Catawba County. WCNC Charlotte reports a 15-year-old boy died Tuesday after he was hit by a semi-truck in Catawba County.

There were three dogs killed on Saturday in a crash in Harnett County troopers around 11:30 a.m. responded to a crash on LaFayette school road, north of Lillington. The investigators said that a black 2014 Chevrolet Impala was speeding and then traveled off the right side of the road and lost control. The car struck a tree, and driver Monica Young, 54, of Fuquay Varina, died as well as three dogs that were in the car were also killed. Speed was a factor in the crash, the driver was wearing a seat belt, and alcohol was not believed to be a factor.

My story is about dead or injured cats, dogs and other animals in shelters. They are not taking proper care of the animals. They have dirty cages. I think it is not good. The people responsible should take responsibility. There were over 5000 euthanizations.

Gas line ruptured in Knightdale at 1:30am. The cause of the gas break is unknown. They do not know what happened.

The story that I picked was about a teen on skateboard killed by semi-truck in Catawba County. The reason why I picked that one is because it is so bad. The other reason is the boy was only fifteen years old. The last reason is he was hit by a truck that is bad. That is why I picked this one.

Raleigh police are investigating the discovery of a teenager's body at Pate Park near Lake Wheeler Road on Saturday evening. They found the body on the 2640 block of Sierra Drive after receiving reports. The victim's family said she was 17 years old. They believe she had overdosed on the medicine she was taking.

The story that caught my eye is that a 9-year-old was hit by a car in Holly Springs on Autumn Park Avenue. I hope the parents are okay. I hope the 9-year-old is okay in the hospital. I hope the cops pulled over the victim of the driver when hit the child.
