I read a story about the Texas Panhandle having a wildfire. The fire caused the power to cut off, forcing to shut down nuclear weapons. The fire swelled into the largest in Texas. Luckily the firefighters were able to cool the temperature.

The story that caught my eye is about a Jury section expert who testified to Reace as a " Statistically Significant Factor" in Johnston Country's death sentence. Attorneys are trying to prove that black people were unfairly excluded from the jury that heard his 2009 murder cases. Bacot faces the death penalty, convinced in the 2007 murder of a man during a robbery in Johnson country. Bacot's guilty verdict was decided by a jury that had 10 white people and two black people. The trial is expected to last weeks.

A customer at Wafu Japanese Steakhouse and Steakhouse and Sushi in Goldsboro left a racist note on a receipt with no money and no tip. The owner says the customer's explanation is not enough for forgiveness, and the incident exposes a larger issue of Asian hate speech and crimes nationwide. On Saturday, a named Autum Bray left a note on a receipt at Goldsboro-based Wafu Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi. The comment on receipt had racist language and used obscenities Bray also left no money for a tip.

Zach The story that caught my eye is Houston police release body camera footage of a deadly church shooting. I hope the people in the church are doing very well. I hope they catch the shooter and put him in jail for the rest of his life. The shooter needs to pay for the damages and for people who are in the hospital.

Riley The story that I picked was, teens' death linked to fentanyl, Frankin co sheriff says. The reason why I picked this one is because that is so sad. The other reason why is that the teen was 18 years old which is so young. The last reason is it was the tiniest amount of fentanyl which is so crazy. That is why I picked this one.
