The story that I picked is a man charged with kidnapping and strangling a woman after dragging her into the woods at gunpoint. The reason why I picked this one is because it is so bad and why would someone do that to someone do that? The police charged him with assault on a female.

I am writing about the Wake Board. They must figure out how to pay staff when federal funds dry up. The board will lose millions of federal dollars next year, but staffing challenges are pushing board members to find a way to give staff raises. Wake County School System will propose a few alternative budgets for next year including raises for employers.

I decided to write about NC State Men's and Women's Basketball. They did so great this year. Both teams made it to the Final Four. It was amazing seeing them go to the Final Four. I watched the boys play. I hate they lost but they did great. They keep their heads up even though. Hopefully next year they will win The Championship.

I read a story about a milkshake bar called Yard Milkshake. It has these crazy-looking milkshakes and it opened on April 12. The article also talked about a restaurant called Melty. Melty is a restaurant that sells grilled cheeses, melts, and burgers.

The story that caught my eye is a man who gets a death sentence for kidnapping, rape, and murder of a Georgia girl. I hope he stays in jail for that. I hope they keep an eye on him in jail. I hope they have more police officers outside of parks, streets and neighborhoods.
