Clouds to clear for a couple of days

7-Day Forecast

After a Monday that looked more like March than May, Tuesday should be sunny, breezy and very nice, WRAL Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel said.

High temperatures will reach the low to mid 70s while a high pressure system sits over Central North Carolina for the next two days. Tuesday and Wednesday are the days for outdoor activity, as the wetter weather looks to return at the end of the week.

Meteorologist Mike Maze predicted a chance of rain each day Thursday through Sunday. A new frontal boundary will likely move in Thursday, and "that'll be the beginning of a wetter pattern that may last into Monday of next week," Maze said.
