CARY, N.C. — Water service was returned to nearly all of the approximately 4,500 utility customers in Cary and Morrisville who experienced a service disruption Friday afternoon, Town of Cary officials said in a release.

“We appreciate everyone’s support as crews worked non-stop to get service back in order,” said Town of Cary Utilities Director Jamie Revels. “As testing continues, continue to take precautionary measures like boiling water until at least Sunday morning.”

Customers who remain impacted are advised to boil their water for at least three minutes, or use bottled water, officials said.

Revels said town officials would notify customers when there is no further need to boil water as a precaution.

Anyone with questions regarding the outage is asked to call 919-469-4090 to speak with a customer service representative.
