The Pineville Police Department says an employee was shot at the Walmart on Pineville-Matthews Road on Sunday. The employee suffered life-threatening injuries in the shooting, according to Medic.

Police say the suspect did not fully complete a purchase which caused an argument. The suspect then returned to the store and shot an employee in the knee, according to police.<br>

The suspect was taken into custody after the shooting. Their name has not been released at this time.
