The event featured seven different schools from the Triangle and schools from as far away as Virginia. The event has brought in over ten thousand dollars in back to back years.
Thank you a little different take on our extra special tonight, we know college basketball plays a major role in the week, but now it's expanding to the high school level. Yesterday, Panther Creek hosting the second annual Jimmy. The high school showcase. The event featured seven different schools from both the Triangle and from as far as Virginia with proceeds from donors going towards the Jimmy V Foundation. Now, the showcases the only high school associated with the V foundation and has brought in over $10,000 in back to back years. The founders of the event include Mike War and a member of the packs 1983 national championship team. He told me he's a ra guy. He's an NC state guy. He loves high school baba, but most importantly is a Jim guy. So continuing to grow, the foundation's efforts means a lot. This is something unique that the foundation has not done this before. Uh So we hope, you know, this is two years now and we hope to begin to replicate it in other cities as well. It's a good events, good group and certainly for a good cause, it's a positive experience. For the kids and the players on the teams and they're, they're able to come out and support a good cause like the V foundation and then we're hoping in the future, maybe it can spread throughout the country. We, we can have events all over the country.
