Woman charged in connection to dead horses appears in court

Janet Elaine Lavender Burleson, 64, of 555 Cross Roads Boulevard in Cary, made her first court appearance on Jan. 24, 2019 on 23 counts of felony killing an animal by starvation and one count of felony cruelty to animals.
