Near record-breaking gas prices on Labor Day weekend
Gas prices are nearing a record high for this time of year. In North Carolina, Labor Day gas prices are sitting at $3.51 a gallon, only about a penny more expensive than last year at this time - but the national average is $3.81, which is a record high set back in 2012.
