There's a lot to like about three sports star Josh Owens of Lakewood High School. This Eagle Scout is an honor student whose upbeat and positive attitude carries him. Ah, long way. He's involved in much of Lakewood school life, including the school news broadcast. Josh Owens loves to compete, and he won't be outworked. You're going to see a kid is really gonna bring some intensity. You're gonna see a kid as really has a desire to win. He's very competitive. He doesn't like to lose. And that's what we like about. I don't like to lose. I don't like to be if if something's attainable, I want to get, you know, I'm saying I don't want I don't be did not just because I didn't work hard enough or just cause I didn't put in that extra hour in the gym. I really want to be the best I can. And it's not necessarily just to make myself look good, because I want to be the best I can, because that makes everyone else around me. That makes us all succeed, has strong moral values, and I think a lot of the students look up to him. Uh, He's a friend to everyone. A lot of people can be separated as far as their athletic ability. But there's one level playing field every athletes has, and that's their ability to work. How much their desire to win their desire to become a better athlete. That's what separates, I think, a good athlete from a great athlete, their ability to work, how much time they put in outside, you know, just a lot of practice time. How much are they willing to give up from themselves to become a better athlete to make their team better? You can't get respect unless you give it yourself. My parents and my family is still that it made from a very young age, no matter what situation is, and always respect those around because it always come back to help something. Football.
