Cooper: Teacher rally needs to occur when lawmakers are in Raleigh
Gov. Roy Cooper said he will speak, if invited, at a planned May 1 rally by public school teachers at the legislature, dismissing calls that the rally not interfere with a school day. Speaking after a meeting of his Education Cabinet, the governor also said he is reviewing an abortion bill for a possible veto.
