City council meeting leaves Roanoke Rapids residents with no answers about chief and captain on leave

In less than 24 hours, Roanoke Rapids residents will learn why their Police Chief and Captain were placed on administrative leave. Many in attendance hoped to receive answers about Chief BL Martin and Captain Jamie Hardy, who were placed on administrative leave on March 17 but were left with no answers. WRAL News has learned the statement will be released around 4 p.m. Wednesday.
