UNC student group to screen WRAL doc 'Ghosts in the Stadium' for Black History Month

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Black History Month is underway.
A student group is holding a public screening of the WRAL documentary "Ghosts in the Stadium" in honor of the month.

The Carolina Association of Black Journalists at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is showing the documentary at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Freedom Forum Room at Carroll Hall at 211 South Columbia St. in Chapel Hill.

“Ghosts in the Stadium” explores the unknown pasts of iconic football stadiums in the Carolinas, including Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill, Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte and Memorial Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina.

WRAL Sports anchor Chris Lea hosted the documentary and WRAL investigative documentary reporter Cristin Severance produced it.

Lea and Severance will take part in a panel discussion after the screening.
