Two people found dead overnight Tuesday in Raleigh

A man and woman were found dead early Tuesday morning in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man and woman were found dead early Tuesday morning in Raleigh.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers responded to a suicide threat around 12:15 a.m. in the 4000 block of Tollington Drive.

During the investigation, officers obtained the location of a dead man with injuries consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the 2800 block of Plaza Place.

Additionally, officers found a dead woman with gunshot wounds.

According to police, the man who shot himself was the ex-boyfriend of the woman.

Police said there is no threat to the public and the investigation is ongoing.
