OXFORD, N.C. — Oxford police are asking for public assistance in locating two men they say are responsible for a shooting spree over two days in the city.

According to police, multiple shootings occurred between 4:30 p.m. Sunday and 1 a.m. Monday on Forest Avenue.

Police said a home was struck by gunfire multiple times, but there is no word on injuries.

Police attempted to stop a black Dodge Challenger leaving the area immediately after one of the shootings. The car drove away from the scene, and two men abandoned it in the area of Broad Street near Alexander Avenue and Goshen Street.

Police said both men were wearing black facemasks.

Police are asking for assistance from anyone who may have video from the area during the time of the shooting and escape.
