CONWAY, S.C. — Testimony is expected to continue Monday in the trial of a woman accused of hiring a man to kill her father and half-brother.

The trial of Samantha Rabon resumes after being adjourned on Friday. Opening statements began last Wednesday, with testimony coming soon after.

Rabon is accused of hiring Randy Grainger to kill Robert and Robbie Ford. The two were found shot and killed off a property on Highway 19 in 2018. A jury convicted Grainger last year of pulling the trigger. He was later sentenced to life in prison for both murders.

The prosecution has said inheritance money was the motive behind the alleged murder-for-hire plot. But the defense claims Rabon was just venting to friends after she learned her half-brother, Robbie, was accused of a serious crime involving a minor.
