- Senate Judiciary takes up legislation creating a "death by distribution" felony for drug dealers whose product results in a fatal overdose. (10 a.m., 1124/1224 LB)
- House Education/Universities considers repealing the tuition surcharge paid by students who take longer than four years to earn a degree. (11 a.m., 421 LOB)
- Senate Finance considers allowing distilleries to sell alcohol on premises and other changes to state regulations. (1 p.m., 544 LOB)
- House K-12 Education debates opening up internships in "occupations found detrimental" to 16- to 18-year-olds. (1p.m., 643 LOB)
- Senate Redistricting and Elections takes up new Wake County House districts that were redrawn under a court order by a court-appointed expert. (2 p.m., 1027/1128 LB)
- House Rules has a bill on minimum size limits for fish that some believe will be gutted and changed to other legislation. (4:30 p.m., 643 LOB)
- The Senate has no floor votes scheduled, and the House has only three non-controversial bills on its 3 p.m. calendar.
