RALEIGH, N.C. — As always, the N.C. State Fair is bringing in some new entertainers who offer up free performances and shows throughout the run of the fair. Here are a few entertainers that kids, especially, will enjoy. Descriptions come courtesy of the NC State Fair's website.

Bandaloni

He's a one-man band who entertains audiences with his custom guitar and drum rig, which includes a bass and rhythm guitar, harmonica, kick drum, high-hats, snare drum, cowbell and tambourine - along with his own singing voice - all played at the very same time.

Find him near the Holshouser Building and Antique Farm Machinery Building.

Flippin' Aerial & Acrobatic Spectacular

This live presentation features mechanical innovation and "flipping artistry," along with acrobats, comedians and aerialists who have "traveled from a past that never existed." Find it at Gate 10 to learn what that's all about.

Giraffe and her Zookeeper

A couple of giraffes will be roaming the Flower Show and Heritage Circle, "munching" on foliage and delighting fairgoers.

Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Boom Run

The Paul Bunyan show stopped at the fair last year. This year, they'll be running across spinning boom logs floating in four feet of water. Find it in Kiddieland near Gate 11.

Parrot Riding Pirate

My younger daughter always loves coming across one of these characters - a person on stilts dressed as if they're riding an animal. This year, it's a pirate riding a parrot. You can find him around Kiddieland and the South Dorton Arena area.
