Young child among 2 people killed in Mount Olive head-on collision
A deadly head-on collision closed a portion of Kelly Springs Road for hours on Saturday, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating a head-on collision that left two people dead on Kelly Springs Road.
A young child was among the victims, according to the state Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. Saturday near the Wayne-Duplin county line. It left the road closed for several hours while law enforcement investigated the scene.
Several law enforcement agencies responded to the scene, including North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Mount Olive Police Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
