WRAL, FOX 50 return to DirecTV lineup after outage

WRAL-TV and FOX 50 have returned to DirecTV after an hours-long outage on Tuesday.

Around 3:45 p.m., all local stations in the Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville market went dark for customers on the satellite provider.

WRAL engineers said a fiber line was cut somewhere between North Carolina and Colorado that caused the outage.

Service returned around 5:30 p.m.
