Surveillance video captures suspicious woman on Durham porch

A Durham County man was on edge Friday night after someone fired a shot through his home.

From three different angles on security footage, a woman is seen running up to the front of the house, on the 3800 block of Tyne Drive in Durham on Wednesday.

Durham deputies believe she's holding a handgun on the video. She stays on the front porch briefly and then runs off.

The Durham County Sheriff's Office said the video was captured around the same time people from the house called about hearing a gunshot sound.

A bullet was found to have traveled from the back of the house through the front glass door.

The people were upstairs at the time. No one was injured.

Law enforcement would like to talk to the woman in the video.

The man who lives in the house is a Vietnam War veteran and a little on edge and disheartened that he's feeling this way so close to Veterans Day, he said.

The woman is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and appears to be wearing jeans and a light-colored top.

Anyone with information about the woman or the incident can contact the Durham County Sheriff's Office by phone at 919-560-7151 or via email at crimetip@durhamsheriff.org.
