A Harnett County woman was rescued after her car stalled out on Elliot Bridge Road near Spring Lake Saturday night.

The woman lost control of her car upon hitting the water, and her vehicle began to skid into the woods.

As the car was being swept away, the driver kicked the window out to get out of the car.

She began to yell out for help while in the water, and rescue crews were able to locate her and pull her out of the water.

Just prior to this incident, a driver and a passenger traveling down the same road had to be rescued by a boat after their car stalled, forcing them to call 911.

Authorities are encouraging drivers to stay off the roads as much as possible.
