Police said the driver had the green light and the woman did not yield at the crosswalk.

A woman was hit by a car Tuesday morning near New Bern Avenue and Trawick Road in Raleigh.
Around 5:30 a.m., Raleigh police were called to the scene of the crash. Police said the driver had the green light and the woman did not yield at the crosswalk.
The woman has serious injuries, Raleigh police said.
The driver remained on scene. The investigation is ongoing.
New Bern Avenue is closed while police are investigating. Drivers should take an alternate route to avoid traffic.
