A woman accused of murder is now facing more charges in one Eastern Carolina county.

Lenoir County deputies say Shy’messa Epps is charged with two counts of felony child neglect/abuse as a result of the deadly shooting that happened March 4th on Highway 55.

Authorities say Eppis killed Amie Heath after she and a 17-year-old boy followed her home after a traffic accident.

Deputies say Epps and a 17-year-old boy were charged with murder, attempted first-degree murder, discharging a weapon into occupied property, and discharging a weapon into occupied property with serious bodily injury.
