A vinyl record that may be in antique stores and attics around North Carolina is called "Wolfpack Tracks." It was released in 1983 after State won its second national championship in storybook fashion.

The album features play-by-play from former radio announcer Wally Ausley, Jim Valvano, SAGE and the NC State band.

The lead track is spirited and heavy on the harmonica. WRAL anchor Dan Haggerty played a snippet of it on Wednesday.

"All aboard, Valvano roared, old number one is due, our cardiac contraption with the five-man Wolfpack crew. We'll huff and puff and strut our stuff and race the hands of time. Oh how sweet to have a seat aboard the Wolfpack line! Hardwood hearts a bouncin' up the Wolfpack tracks, a cardiac contraption brought the Wolfpack back"

"We boarded in Atlanta down in demon brew, stomping Heels in rhythm as we wrecked the old wahoo, ridin' waves in Ogden, choking rebel yells, have a shoot at Utah Utes then give Virginia...welllll"

The album appears to have been produced in Asheville.

Capitol Broadcasting Company Chairman of the Board and CEO Jim Goodmon owns a copy of the record, and it was autographed by the legendary Valvano.
