You can reserve a 'goat gram' for Valentine's Day

One woman is introducing a new way to celebrate Valentine's Day, putting an eastern North Carolina spin on things.

Instead of bringing flowers, why not show love to your Valentine with a goat visit this year!

Sarah Ratley, the owner of Painted Farmer, said goat grams are a hot commodity and that other farms across the country are also providing them.

This is the second year in a row that Ratley has launched the tour, and this time, it'll feature three-week-old Ruben and his mother Carmen.

If you live between Raleigh and Greenville, you can reserve a 10-minute visit with Ruben on Feb. 13 or 14 for $45.

"Goat grams are kind of a spin on agricultural tourism," said Ratley. "Instead of you coming to the farm, we take the goat to you."

Goat grams are available in several North Carolina cities, including Greenville, Winterville, Goldsboro, Wilson and Raleigh.
