When, where to watch World of Bluegrass virtual performances
International Bluegrass Music Association's Virtual World of Bluegrass starts on Monday with its business conference and the IBMA Bluegrass Ramble.
The annual festival, which has been held in Raleigh since 2013, went virtual this year due to coronavirus concerns.
While the Business Conference requires registration ($99 for IBMA members and $149 for non-members), the Bluegrass Ramble performances are free to watch.
Viewers have two stages of music to choose from Monday through Wednesday starting at 8 p.m. Those performances can be streamed from WRAL on the web, in the WRAL News app for iOS and Android devices and WRAL's Roku, FireTV and Apple TV apps. Performances can also be heard on That Station (95.7 FM).
More bluegrass can be enjoyed during the virtual Bluegrass Live! festival, part of World of Bluegrass. The Travelin’ McCourys with special guest Del McCoury, Steep Canyon Rangers and Jerry Douglas & Odessa Settles and Sierra Hull & Molly Tuttle will perform during that festival on Friday and Saturday.
Bluegrass Live! performances can be viewed Friday (starting at 3 p.m.) and Saturday (starting at 1 p.m.) on WRAL on the web, in the WRAL News app for iOS and Android devices and WRAL's Roku, FireTV and Apple TV apps. Performances can also be heard on That Station (95.7 FM).
The performances can also be viewed for free via the SwapCard app. Viewers need to register for a free IBMA World of Bluegrass Music Pass in order to view the content.
