Walgreens buying select Rite Aid stores after all

Walgreens announced today that federal regulators have approved a deal allowing them to buy 1,932 Rite Aid stores and three distribution centers.

The stores will begin to change hands as soon as October 2017, according to an article from Couponsinthenews.com. By spring, 2018, all the included stores should be transitioned to Walgreens ownership.

If you are wondering what will happen to your Rite Aid, you'll have to keep wondering a little while longer. Neither store is releasing the list of stores that will be sold to Walgreens.
