Wake County man wins $100,000 lottery jackpot after buying ticket at Circle K

A Wake County man won big with a $100,000 jackpot in the August 7 drawing.

Jason Carter of Morrisville took home $71,256 after taxes on his $100,000 jackpot win from the Cash 5 drawing.

He bought the Quick Pick ticket from the Circle K on Davis Drive in Morrisville.

His numbers matched all five white balls in the drawing.
