Vince Carter elected to Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, report says

North Carolina legend Vince Carter was elected into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame's 2024 class, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Carter is joined by guard Chauncey Billups, unnamed sources told Charania.
The official announcement is Saturday at the Final Four.
The late Walter Davis was also among the 14 finalists for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

Enshrinement weekend will begin on Aug. 16 at the Mohegan Sun with the tip-off celebration and awards gala. The enshrinement ceremony is set for Aug. 17 at Symphony Hall in Springfield, Massachusetts.
