Vance Co. authorities locate missing 2-year-old Tuesday afternoon

Vance County authorities located a missing 2-year-old boy after he went missing Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Vance County Sheriff's Office, the child went missing around the 4000 block of Charlie Grissom Road in the Kittrell community.

Authorities could not tell WRAL News when the child went missing, but did say the child was found just after 3:30 p.m in the woods near the home he went missing from.

Authorities said the boy was not injured but was taken taken to a local hospital to be checked out.
