Merv, Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming romcom starring Zooey Deschanel of New Girl fame, is set to film in Kure Beach starting next month.
Per a Kure Beach Town Council agenda document, it will require intermittent traffic control on K and Atlantic avenues, pedestrian traffic control on the beach strand and beach accesses, and a waiving of the dogs on beach ordinance.
The proposed schedule is to prep from April 17 to 19, film from April 22 to 26, and wrap from April 29 to 30. The rain dates are set for May 1-3.
Per Deadline, the film will be directed by Jessica Swale and written by her and Dane Clark.
