UNC faces Florida State in quarterfinals of 2024 ACC Tournament

The North Carolina Tar Heels are set to begin play in the ACC Tournament on Thursday against Florida State.
Tipoff between the Tar Heels and the Seminoles is set for noon ET Thursday. The game airs on ESPN.
Florida State (17-15, 10-10 ACC) beat Virginia Tech 86-76 on Wednesday.
The Tar Heels are led by guard RJ Davis and big man Armando Bacot, who were both first team All-ACC selections. Davis was named the ACC Player of the Year.
Florida State didn't have a player make the All-ACC team.
During the regular season, the Tar Heels beat the Seminoles both times the two teams played: North Carolina won 78-70 on Dec. 2, 2023, at the Dean Smith Center and won again 75-68 on Jan. 27 at the Donald Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee, Florida.

No. 1-seeded North Carolina (25-6, 17-3 ACC) enters the conference tournament on a six-game winning streak.
The Tar Heels are vying for their first ACC Tournament championship since 2016.
