Two vehicles damaged by bullets in shooting

Burlington Police Department is investigating a shooting after a stolen car was found damaged by bullets.

Just after 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, police were called to an area around Huffman Mill Road and Longpine Road for a shots fired call.  When they arrived, officers found a Nissan Altima that had been stolen out of Raleigh.

Witnesses alleged two black males were in the Nissan Altima and shot at another car.

The two suspects left the car in front of Mayflower Restaurant on Huffman Mill Road and got into another Nissan Altima. The suspects were last seen heading west towards Greensboro on Interstate 40.

A Jeep was found behind Alamance Regional Medical Center that also had damage from bullets. The people that were inside that Jeep are being interviewed by investigators.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
