Two men arrested, charged with murder of Harnett Co. brothers

According to the Harnett County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested 21-year-old Caleb Xavier Henderson and 20-year-old Rasool Mubarak Husain Jr. Deputies charged both men with two counts of first-degree murder, first-degree forcible burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Two men arrested, charged in June shooting that killed two brothers

Harnett County authorities arrested two men on Dec. 29 in connection with a Harnett County shooting that left two brothers dead in June.

According to the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested 21-year-old Caleb Xavier Henderson and 20-year-old Rasool Mubarak Husain Jr.

Deputies charged both men with two counts of first-degree murder, first-degree forcible burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to robbery with a dangerous weapon.

In June, two brothers were found shot inside their Harnett County home on Burslem Lane in the small town of Cameron at around 12:58 a.m. on June 27.

The elder brother, identified as Joshua Tyler Holland, 22, died on the scene. His brother, 15-year-old Quinton Jones, was found shot in the head and rushed to the hospital.

Quinton Jones later died from his injuries.

The brothers' grandparents were asleep at the time of the shooting, according to Harnett County Sheriff Wayne Coats.

Both men were given no bond by a Harnett County judge. Their next court date is on Jan. 23.
