Two injured after trailer comes loose and crashes into oncoming car in Johnston County

Two people were injured after a utility trailer came loose and crashed into an oncoming car in Johnston County on Wednesday night.

The crash happened on Sanders Road in Benson around 8 p.m.

State Highway Patrol troopers said that, when the small utility trailer crashed into the car, it caused the car to spin around.

The car's occupants were taken to WakeMed in Raleigh for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle with the trailer was charged with improper towing.
