The Nash County Sheriff's Office on Thursday announced the arrest of two people in what they are calling the biggest meth busts in Nash County history.

Ackeem Ricardo Baker of Rocky Mount and Xiomara E. Oyola of Brooklyn, N.Y. were arrested Thursday morning. Deputies said the two were traveling from New York to Rocky Mount on Interstate 95 when they were pulled over during a traffic stop. A search of the vehicle resulted in marijuana and three bundles of meth wrapped in plastic hidden inside the vehicle. Investigators said it totaled one and a half kilograms.

Baker and Oyola were both charged with maintain vehicle for sell and delivery of controlled substance felony with intent to sell marijuana, trafficking methamphetamine by possession by transportation and by manufacture, and drug paraphernalia. Both were placed under a $500,000 bond and are currently in the Nash County Detention Center.
