Two arrested in Moore County drug bust; deputies found cocaine, marijuana and paraphernalia

Two people are facing several drug charges after deputies found cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash.

Moore County deputies arrested two people Friday during a drug investigation where authorities found cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash.

Jackie James Brady, 68, of Asheboro, is charged with trafficking in cocaine by sell, trafficking in cocaine by deliver, trafficking in cocaine by transport, trafficking in cocaine by possession, two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, two counts of felony possession of cocaine, two counts of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling/place to keep a controlled substance and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities are holding Brady at the Moore County Detention Center on $150,000 secured bond.

Kimberly Dawn Harris, 45, of Asheboro, is charged with conspiring to traffic in cocaine by deliver, conspiring to traffic in cocaine by transport, conspiring to sell cocaine, conspiring to deliver cocaine and simple possession of schedule VI-controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities are holding Harris on a $75,000 unsecured bond.

The drug investigation happened North Carolina HIghway 705 near North Moore Road in Robbins, according to the sheriff's office.

Brady and Harris are due in court on Oct. 25.
