It was a special "Twos-day" for one Triangle-area couple that welcomed twins into the world. Their journey to have kids, however, has been one-of-a-kind.

A pair of twins born on Tuesday, February 22 at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh are being celebrated as any other babies were, but a list of coincidences is making it a great story.

Raleigh couple Staci West and Anthony Reed are engaged and welcomed two boys on Tuesday.

Coah was born at 7:18. Creedon was born three minutes later. Staci said the names given to her boys are special for her — Coah means highly spirited and Creedon means little warrior, a nod to her Native American heritage.

The births are meaningful to the couple, who overcame adversity earlier in their quest to make a family.

"We actually lost a set of twins before we conceived these twins," Staci said. "Three months later, we find out that we are again pregnant, which was very exciting."

Needless to say, Staci and Anthony are grateful for the additions to their family with a new perspective given their earlier hardship.

"It just it's so worth it," Staci said. "The fatigue, everything we went through to get to this point and to bring them into the world healthy and strong. Then holding them right now makes everything worth it."

Interestingly enough, there was a baby girl born at 2:22 a.m. on Tuesday in Alamance County.
