State Highway Patrol on Saturday charged an 18-year-old with speeding 130 mph in a 65-mph zone.

The teenager sped away from troopers on Interstate 40 in Alamance County, according to authorities.

Troopers deployed a pit maneuver and both the trooper's vehicle and the 18-year-old's car struck a parked car off the side of U.S. Route 70 near Bland Boulevard.

No injuries were reported during the chase.

Keon-Zae Jhazie Herbin, from Burlington, was charged with driving while impaired and carrying a concealed handgun, among other charges.
