Triangle business offers virtual preschool program for families

The Nurtured Nest, a Triangle business that focuses on parent and caregiver education, is launching something for little ones. Little Wings Academy will offer a virtual solution for parents of preschoolers, according to a press release, as half-day preschools in the region begin to close because of the pandemic.

“Families like mine are in need of a program that adds structure to these days and fosters the learning my girls were receiving at their preschool” said Kathryn Dunn, founder of the Nurtured Nest, an early childhood educator and mother of two preschoolers, in the release. “Parents are struggling in many ways in this season, and this is one way the Nurtured Nest can fulfill its mission to provide families with the resources and education that they need and deserve - and we’re excited to be part of it.”

Little Wings Academy will offer live instruction, digital media and parent-teacher led activities that will help families who usually send their little ones to three to four-hour preschool programs. Little Wings is best for ages 1 to 5. Families also can take advantage of parenting experts curated through The Nurtured Nest.

The program will be offered through a monthly preschool subscription plan that includes music education, crafts, snack ideas, live virtual check-ins with teachers, virtual field trips and socially distanced small group playdates at Little Doodles Play Cafe. The cost is $199 per month and $40 for each additional sibling.
