Luxury retail brand Bal Harbour Shops is kicking off its new traveling pop-up shop event in Raleigh later this month.

Bal Harbour is based in Miami. It is known for its presentation of high-end retailers in a tropical, open-air setting with tropical plants and orchids, waterfall features and koi ponds and a variety of palm trees for shade.

The shops will be bringing that tropical vibe to North Hills shopping area in a 17,000 square-foot winter pop-up market. The pop-up will run for eight weeks. It will include 30 custom-built shipping containers with a curated collection of shops and boutiques including Tiffany & Co., Balmain, Santa Maria Novella, Frette, Bonpoint, Addict, Assouline and James Perse

The space will also feature fine dining restaurant and lounge, The Whitman.

“We’re excited about bringing the “tropical” luxury shopping and dining experience for which we are known the world over outside of Bal Harbour for the first time in our nearly 60 year history,” said Matthew Whitman Lazenby, President and Chief Executive Officer of Whitman Family Development and the fourth generation owner of his family business.

This is the first time the Bal Harbour has taken its luxury brand on the road and Raleigh is the first stop in the tour, which will also include Greenville, S.C.
