If you're up for a road trip and have a kid who loves trains and can't wait to see the Easter Bunny, here's an event for you.

The N.C. Transportation Museum's Easter Bunny Express runs March 24 to March 25 and March 30 to March 31. The event includes a 25-minute train ride with the Easter Bunny, who will hand out treats to kids, and other activities. Egg hunts are scheduled for March 30 and March 31.

You also can enjoy a meal or snack with the Easter Bunny (for an extra charge).

The museum is in Spencer, about two hours from Raleigh. It's worth a visit - even when the Easter Bunny isn't there. It also hosts a Polar Express ride during the Christmas season.

Tickets are on sale now and range between $9 and $13 for the train ride and museum admission for most days. Add a few more dollars for the March 31 rides to take a quick trip on the steam caboose engine.

The museum's website has more information.
